The Dinosaurs are coming!

Great fun! For any child into Dinosaurs this is perfect. And for all children age 8 and under this is a fun outing and lovely family fun. Including a show, a 3D film, riding dinosaurs, archaeological dig to find ‘dinosaur bones’, children’s activities and a great exhibit of 30 dinosaurs up to 6 metres high including some that you can touch, cuddle and feed! These dinosaurs breathe and ‘live’ like none you have seen before!

We hadn't heard anything about this exhibit from anyone on the group and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the exhibit. When you get your entry bracelets make sure to find out when the next show is to ensure that you get there in time to get seats. You can go to the show and then go back to the dinosaurs so you don't have to do it in order.

The dinosaurs are on the third floor of the Azrieli shopping Center, on the other side of The Island. The main part is housed under tarpaulin with good air conditioning. There were lots of great dinosaurs that moved and made sounds. The information boards were good for our older children - but note that these are only in Hebrew. After the dinosaurs there is a small cinema showing a 10 minute 3D film which all my children thoroughly enjoyed. Adults were slightly miffed that it was mainly seating on the floor but the children didn't complain.

There was an outdoor area with coloring for children, and of course a food kiosk selling snacks and drinks as well as dinosaur toys. The show was in the shaded auditorium and was actually very cute. The audience experienced being in the jungle with regular gentle sprays of water. We were introduced to a few dinosaurs on the stage with plenty of audience participation - inviting children to feed the baby dinosaurs and help calm down the T-Rex. While it was too young for my 10 year old, my younger children enjoyed themselves. It was just the right length and well done. A fun day out - completed with lunch in the Food Court!
