Actual problems of the theory and history of art

Department of Art History and Theory of historical faculty of Moscow State University and the Institute of History of St. Petersburg State University invites all to participate in the Sixth International Conference "Actual problems of the theory and history of art", which will be held 27-31 October 2015 in Moscow at the History Department of Moscow State University. In 2015, the conference is held in conjunction with the Moscow Kremlin Museums.
The Conference devoted to the topical issues of the theory and history of fine art and architecture. The leading theme of the conference in 2015 "Renaissance and art of Europe." Applications for participation in the conference are accepted on all topics relating to art from antiquity to modern times.

As part of the conference will include plenary sessions and several sections of the following areas:
• Art of the Ancient World,
• The Eastern Christian art,
• Ancient Russian art,
• Western European medieval art,
• Renaissance art,
• Western art of modern times,
• Foreign art XX-XXI centuries,
• Russian art of XVIII-XIX centuries,
• Russian art of XX-XXI centuries,
• Theory of art.

Working languages ​​- Russian and English.

Reports are available in the form of an oral presentation or a poster. It is planned a special meeting in the Moscow Kremlin Museums, which is expected to highlight the interaction of art of the Renaissance and ancient Russia, as well as the perception of the Western art in Russia in modern times. Applications for participation and abstracts in Russian and English languages (up to 2000 characters each variant) will be accepted until May 15, 2015 on the site actual-art.spbu.ru as an electronic registration form. For students, graduates and young professionals without a degree is required recommendation of the supervisor, which can be sent to them by electronically from your personal address to the address of the Organizing Committee (conference@actual-art.org) or as a conventional signed letter, scanned and attached to the application site.
