Interdiscplinary Social Sciences

Eighth International Conference on Interdiscplinary Social Sciences.
Charles University, Praguee, Czech Republic.
30 July-1 August 2013

Conference Focus

The International Conference on Interdisciplinary Social Sciences examines the nature of disciplinary practices, and the interdisciplinary practices that arise in the context of ‘real world’ applications. It also interrogates what constitutes ‘science’ in a social context, and the connections between the social and other sciences. The focus of papers ranges from the finely grained and empirical(research practices and results exemplifying one or more disciplines), to wide-ranging multi-disciplinary and transdisciplinary practices, to perspectives on knowledge and method.

We are inviting proposals for paper presentations, workshops/interactive sessions, posters/exhibits, or colloquia (See Proposal Types). For more information about the ideas and themes underlying this community, see Our Focus: Themes. Proposal ideas that extend beyond these thematic areas will also be considered.

Virtual participation is available for those who are unable to attend the conference in person. Proposals for virtual presentations may be submitted at any time, up to the start of the conference. All conference registrants (in-person and virtual) may also submit their written papers for publication in one of the family of journals that supports this knowledge community.
