ADHD Worldwide 2012 - The 1st Joint Meeting
27th February to 1st March 2013
Tel Aviv, Israel

INVITATION LETTER
We are delighted to invite you to participate in the 1st international meeting on ADHD in adults being hosted jointly by the European Network Adult ADHD (ENAA) and the American Professional Society of ADHD and Related Disorders (APSARD). In recognition of the impact of ADHD on people across continents, the meeting is called “ADHD Worldwide”. Our primary goal is to share the experiences and expertise of our colleagues from across the globe, and to discuss the diversity of approaches we have developed to address ADHD as a lifespan disorder. Our audience will include healthcare professionals, scientists and, on the last day of the meeting, the broader community of stakeholders whose lives are affected by ADHD.
.
All over the world, some 7% of the pediatric population and 4% of adults suffer the consequences of ADHD. Many of them are troubled by comorbid psychiatric disorders, including anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, delinquency and substance abuse. Approximately 5 years ago, leading health care professionals in Europe and the United States, with experience in ADHD took the initiative and together with the ENAA and APSARD created webs for teaching and transmitting knowledge about advances in assessing and treating the disorder. This time, we have decided to combine our efforts in order to create the first international meeting, unifying both continents. Researchers and clinicians, about a third of them- psychiatrists from both the US, Canada, Eastern and Western Europe and Israel will gather together to exchange cutting edge knowledge and experience in the field of ADHD focusing on its etiology, clinical manifestations, comorbidities and treatments.

The meeting is a tailored congress with an integrated approach to ADHD evaluation and treatment. Professionals in the field will enjoy a high-level scientific program covering the latest perspectives and developments in this multidisciplinary field.

This unique collaborative ADHD conference, led by prominent professionals in the field, promises to be a dynamic and educational event in the exciting surrounds of Tel-Aviv-Jaffa with its distinctive cosmopolitan and energetic atmosphere. We expect about 800 participants from Europe, United States and Israel.

Tel-Aviv, often called ‘the city that never stops’, was the first modern Jewish city built in Israel, and is the country’s economic and cultural center. It also has the distinction of being a top tourist site named by major tourist publications. Tel-Aviv is a national center of rich, innovative and popular culture that serves not only the residents of the city, but the entire country. It is a major center of innovation, technology, production and employment and was recently proclaimed one of the ten high-tech capitals of the world. The special blend of Mediterranean ambience, seaside resort and modern façade makes this city so uniquely appealing.

We look forward to meeting you at the ADHD Worldwide in Tel-Aviv. Our aim is to make this a memorable event both socially and scientifically.
